Purple Line Project
The Purple Line project, managed by the Maryland State Highway Administration, is a significant infrastructure development aimed at enhancing transportation connectivity in the region. This project covers the first two stops of the new transit line, from I-295 at Riverdale Road to Campus Drive just off the University of Maryland (UMD) campus.
Scope of Work:
Jaxson Point Electrical Construction was tasked with the installation and optimization of advanced traffic signalization systems. Our work focused on ensuring seamless integration and functionality for the initial transit stops, supporting both traffic flow and pedestrian safety.
Outcome:
The Independence Avenue Lighting Rehabilitation project has greatly improved nighttime visibility and safety in one of Washington, D.C.’s most iconic areas.
