The Reconstruction of New York & New Jersey Avenues project, managed by the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), focused on improving a critical intersection that connects to I-395 South Bound. This project involved upgrades to street lighting, traffic signalization, and the installation of an overhead Dynamic Message Sign (DMS) to enhance safety and traffic flow in a highly trafficked area of Washington, D.C.
Scope of Work:
Jaxson Point Electrical Construction was responsible for the installation of new streetlights, updated signalization, and the implementation of an overhead DMS on New York Avenue. This digital signage system includes sensors for detecting oversized vehicles and alerting drivers, providing real-time information to improve traffic management and prevent accidents.
