16th St Bus Lanes Rehabilitation

The 16th St Bus Lanes Rehabilitation project was initiated by the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) to enhance public transportation efficiency and safety along the busy 16th Street corridor in Washington, D.C. This project involved a comprehensive upgrade of the bus lanes with new street lighting, advanced signalization, and overhead LED signage.

Scope of Work:

Jaxson Point Electrical Construction was responsible for the installation of streetlights, traffic signalization, and the implementation of overhead LED signs to clearly mark bus lanes. The LED signs, approximately 2'x3' in size, were mounted on tall poles to increase visibility for drivers and pedestrians, enhancing both safety and functionality along the route.

Outcome:

The upgrades along 16th Street have improved public transit efficiency and pedestrian safety, aligning with DDOT's goals for a more sustainable and accessible public transportation system.
